Dear Business/Industry;

How would you like to work with a model of health care that was showing the ability to most effectively and efficiently reduce recovery time from injuries, as well as the ability to improve even many chronic and reoccurring joint problems?

How about a model of Natural Medicine that shown the ability to substantially reduce health care costs because of improved health?

A pilot program with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Ill. together with a group called Alternative Medicine Inc. (altmedinc.com) in Chicago has consistently shown 60% overall health care cost savings over ten years and has expanded to 20 states with businesses clamoring for it because of the consistently positive and measurable outcomes. Positive outcomes from treatments such as these are the best measure of success. Skyrocketing health care costs and declining health from the present model of medical health care are not positive outcomes.

This model uses specially trained and credentialed Chiropractors as primary and portal of entry health care providers where patients choose between a traditional Medical Physician or one of the group’s DC’s as their primary health care provider. Patients receive regular evaluations to treat the underlying causes of their structural problems, and also to continually update changing nutritional needs of the body’s organ systems through treatment. My practice currently operates nearly identically as this model from Altmedinc. with the exception that the work with natural medicine it is not covered by insurance at this time.

I have undertaken extensive training in a specialty area of Chiropractic called Applied Kinesiology, in addition to training in Functional Medicine (see article on Functional Medicine). Functional Medicine is providing the philosophy and medically based research that shows how the whole body works together in a web-like interaction through health and disease, and how nutrients, toxicities, and food allergies interact to negatively affect the health that is encoded on our genes. Applied Kinesiology shows us how to fix structural problems of the body as well as how to apply treatment measures to improve the health of the body’s organ systems. We are also using new lab tests that stress identifying loss of organ system function long before disease can develop.

I am very confident I can adequately demonstrate my abilities to provide the above-mentioned benefits. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and information about this model of health care with you.

Please call me to arrange an appointment to discuss this possibility for your business.

Very sincerely,

Functional Medicine, is a science-based field of health care, grounded on the principles of biochemical individuality, patient-centered care, the dynamic balance of health processes rather than health and disease as a sudden fixed event, health as a positive vitality, promotion of organ reserve, and that the human body functions as a network of interconnected systems rather than individual systems functioning autonomously.

Functional Medicine is anchored by evaluation of core clinical imbalances that underlie various disease conditions. The core imbalances are environmental inputs, such as diet, nutrients, air and water, influenced by micro-organisms, radiation, physical exercise and trauma, with social-relational-spiritual factors also having an influence. The fundamental physiologic processes, such as communication inside the cells and between cells, bioenergetics, replication and repair, elimination of waste, protection and immune defense, and circulation can be altered by core clinical imbalances. Left unresolved, impaired fundamental physiologic processes lead to fundamental clinical imbalances, for example, hormonal and neurotransmitter imbalances, detoxification imbalances and digestive/absorptive imbalances. Imbalances such as these are the precursors to the signs and symptoms by which we detect and label (diagnose) organ system disease.

Functional Medicine is dedicated to objective assessment, through traditional and physiologic laboratory testing, of altered physiologic processes which lead to diagnosable diseases. The practice of Functional Health Care is to intervene at multiple levels in the altered physiologic processes so as to “steer” those altered processes back to balance on the “road” towards health!

Functional Health Care focuses on functionality at many levels, rather than a single treatment for a single diagnosis. Working in partnership with a trained Functional Medicine practitioner, patients make dietary and activity changes that, when combined with nutrients and nutraceuticals targeted to specific functional needs, allow them to truly be in charge of improving their own health and changing the outcome of disease.

How Is It Possible To Fix 90% Of My Patients In 3-5 Visits?

It’s simple, really!

Correct the alignment of the joints;

Then FIX THE MUSCLES that stabilize the joints.

Muscles move bones and stabilize joints.

Ongoing joint problems are the result of muscle strain…

(and IgG mediated food allergies)

The bottom line is that if you have a joint problem, you have a muscle problem; we need to fix the muscles!

Many (if not most) muscle strains do not heal with time, exercise, stretching; nor ultrasound, EMS, traction, etc.

Not fixing the muscles when joint problems exist is like aligning your car without tightening up the nuts that maintain that correct alignment.

Fixing muscle problems requires being able to first identify specific muscle weakness.

Kinesiology is the study of movement of muscles; this allows us to test muscles individually to find specific weakness from strain.

Once specific muscle weakness is determined, an advanced application of Applied Kinesiology (AK) soft tissue mobilization allows us to FIX finite, focal and local sites of strain within the muscles with a deep application of muscle work

FIXING Muscles In This manner Allows Us To Consistently See Long Term Outcomes for joint problems in ONLY 3-5 VISITS!

PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR A WORKSHOP

When a person first experiences Applied Kinesiology manual muscle testing (we call it AK) they are more than a little surprised that some muscle that appears to be initially strong and locking can suddenly and totally weaken with little or no understood reason. AK muscle testing gives the skillful AK Doc a magnificent tool to find many things that are either difficult or nearly impossible to find otherwise by muscle testing. AK muscle testing literally allows for an energetic connection with the “Innate Intelligence” of the body.

Many, if not all, philosophies of natural health care include the concept of an Innate Intelligence that exists within the body. This Innate Intelligence is the life force that animates the body while it is alive, and enables the body to adapt to a constantly changing and often toxic environment. If something is happening in the body, the Innate is responsible for it. It is brilliant. The Innate always knows exactly what it’s doing. We usually don’t.

The term AK as it is used here, refers to the use of manual muscle testing to measure the body’s response to just about anything in the body. This extraordinarily useful phenomenon was first discovered by Dr. George Goodheart in 1964. Applied Kinesiology is a tool that can enable a practitioner to literally “ask questions” of a patient’s body.

AK muscle testing is the foundation of everything I evaluate for in my office. I use AK to find:

Subluxations (misalignment of bones in the body that we adjust in Chiropractic)

Muscle weakness that destabilizes the alignment of those bones, how and where to apply deep muscle work to restore proper muscle function to provide long term stabilization for the alignment of the joints

Food allergies that dramatically affect health in many ways

General nutrition needs; including which particular nutritional product and even how many per day of that product that the body needs to replenish a nutritionally depleted state

Loss of optimal organ system health and function; and strategies of nutriceutical interventions to best restore health and function to any and every organ system in the body.

Energetic (emotional) factors (blocks) that get in the way of our best efforts to maximize our life’s dreams and aspirations.

I have 13 years of experience using AK, along with many hundreds of hours of training in a newly emerging field of science and research called Functional Medicine. I have innovated many treatment techniques, and have successfully treated the whole gamut of health challenges from the common cold to cancer. In this process, one must understand that we are NOT actively seeking out and treating disease; we are merely (merely?) improving the health of the body to facilitate the body’s own inherent healing powers.

My training and experience has shown me that to affect any health related challenge, we need to address several areas of the body;

General nutritional deficiency status from lack of optimal diet; understanding that even some of the best foods come from soils that are depleted with nutrients

Malabsorption from “Gut Dysbiosis” and the “Leaky Gut Syndrome”; where we are not able to take into our bodies the nutrients we do eat

Toxicity from within and without; neurotoxic waste from the pathenogenic organisms in our gut that are absorbed into our bloodstream and toxins from the water we drink, the foods we eat and the air we breathe.

Special needs because of the less desirable expression of the genetic messages (pleuripotentiality) encoded on the genes (phenotype) coming from all of the above

Improved lifestyles include the “Magnificient 7”; the need to Eat Right, Think Right, Drink Right, Move Right, Talk Right, Poop Right and Sleep Right!

My Chiropractic education gives me a complete understanding of the functioning of the body (on par with a medical education) and the license and scope of practice to function as a physician.

My training in Functional Medicine gives me the additional understanding through new and developing research of how the body works together in health and disease and has shown us the nutriceutical products (formulations of vitamins, minerals, herbs, amino acids and enzymes) that support health and function.

Functional Medicine integrates diagnosis, signs, symptoms, and evidence of clinical imbalances into a comprehensive approach. This approach focuses on functionality at many levels, rather than a single treatment for a single diagnosis. It should be our goal to provide a true proactive and prevention-based health care system as opposed to an after-the-fact disease care system. We provide a model of wellness; the missing foundation to a health care system designed to treat illness.

My training in Applied Kinesiology gives me the ability to put this all together into a system of analysis to create a game plan of treatment to most effectively and efficiently restore health.

AK is a highly innovative and indispensable tool to obtain the most complete and accurate picture of what the body needs to regain function and to restore health.

Licensed as a Chiropractor with substantial training in the newly emerging field of Functional Medicine, I utilize a tool called Applied Kinesiology as a primary tool to assist in the diagnostic process that with the goal to find and fix the underlying cause(s) of my patients problems.

My patients initially come to me with muscle and joint problems. I believe that muscles are the missing link to most joint problems. If there is a joint problem, there are weak muscles that are not properly stabilizing the joint. Muscle weakness from strain does not heal with time, exercise, stretching or the commonly used physiotherapies of ultrasound, EMS, etc.

Chiropractic is a wonderful thing, but (in my opinion) the research is not adequately addressing how to optimally stabilize joint probems. This is the primary reason that DC’s are not armed with techniques to most effectively, efficiently resolve our patients muscle and joint problems for the long term.

Kinesiologic manual muscle testing allows us to find specific muscle weakness. A new manual muscle treatment technique allows us to locate and treat very specific focal sites of strain within the muscle. In my experience, this technique surpasses any other technique’s ability to fix muscle problems most effectively, efficiently and long term.

The second HUGE part of people’s muscle and joint problems is related to food allergies of the IgG mediated antibody response. I use muscle testing to assess food allergies. Based on my patient’s feedback, I believe it is exceptionally accurate. When I suspect food allergies based on muscle testing, I ask my patients to undergo the gold standard of food allergy tests…the elimination diet for two weeks followed by the reintroduction of that suspected food for three days. If symptoms emerge during those three days, the foods are highly suspect. Food allergy symptoms are most common immediately rising from a night’s sleep. Waking up with a new problem out of the blue or an aggravation of a strain makes no sense to me. A strain injury rests overnight and therefore feels best in the morning. Strain injuries should become worse with increased activity or toward the end of the day. Symptoms include any joint pain, digestive disturbances, sinus discharge or anything not easily accounted for in other ways.

Functional Medicine is a science-based field of health care, grounded on the principles of biochemical individuality, patient-centered care, the dynamic balance of health processes rather than health and disease as a sudden fixed event, health as a positive vitality, promotion of organ reserve, and that the human body functions as a network of interconnected systems rather than individual systems functioning autonomously.

Functional Medicine is sometimes referred to as “Right Molecules Medicine”. We need the Right molecules of the Right substance for the Right condition at the Right time. There are endless strategies for whatever condition we choose to discuss. Because of the Biochemical Individuality of each person, everyone will have their own very unique needs to regain health.

In this office the use of an advanced model of Kinesiologic manual muscle testing (Extreme Kinesiology) is showing to be an valuable tool to determine what specific vitamin-mineral-herbal formulations will benefic individual health challenges. When using muscle testing to fine tune individual needs, we are able to provide the maximum health, vitality and years of disease free living our bodies were designed to attain and maintain.
